Radovljica, a picturesque town close to Bled, hosted this weekend a traditional April festival where chocolate was the main ingredient of all the festival events.

During the Chocolate Festival – that is especially popular among children – one could try numerous types of chocolate and taste various chocolate products.

Since 2012 when the first chocolate festival was happening in Radovljica, it has been growing in popularity.

This year, the festival took place in the following venues: Radovljica Manor and Linhart Square (the main square in Radovljica’s old town), and the town’s park.

The photo gallery below shows some of the highlights of the festival that is closely connected with the history of chocolate manufacturing in Radovljica.

Did you know that there is a chocolate factory in Lesce, a small town near Radovljica, with origins in the year of 1922?
