In Lesce, a small town near Bled, there is an alpine flying centre where you can find a family-style restaurant that serves high-quality food, including Slovenian cuisine, meat and fish dishes, as well as delicious desserts.
You can enjoy your morning coffee there while sitting on the restaurant`s terrace with the view of the Julian Alps.
OUR ORDER: I ordered rolled dumplings called štruklji served with zucchini sauce. Štruklji are traditional Slovene dish made of dough and normally filled with cottage cheese or walnuts.
My dining companion went for meat: beef steak. As for the dessert, we decided to have a piece of raspberry cake.
OUR EXPERIENCE: When the waiter brought our meals we were pleasantly surprised: the food on the plates that was carefully presented looked so colourful and delicious!
Two of the rolled dumplings I got were filled with cottage cheese, the other two were prepared with wild garlic and were part of the restaurant`s seasonal offer.
Both versions were tasty and honestly I could eat more of them, though after finishing my meal I was full. Well, there was still some space left for the dessert.
A refreshing raspberry cake we chose was a perfect closure to our meal experience at Na Kležn’k!
CONCLUSION: In this restaurant with a great view of vast meadows and mighty mountains the food was tasty, the atmosphere was pleasing and the staff professional and friendly.
Apart from meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, you can also choose from different ‘menus of the day’ and treat yourself with a delicious dessert! The menu card is also available in English.
